Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She is a founder of The Huffington Post and the director of Thrive Global. Author of over 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a writer and philanthropist as well as a television host and the owner of the independent open online newsmagazine The Huffington Post. Following her move into England from Greece at the age of 16, she received a MA with Economics from Cambridge University. At 21 she became president of the renowned debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. After her graduation, she was a well-known Conservative syndicated journalist. After a few years after that she launched The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present politics. Her popularity helped her to convince several stars to voice their views about current affairs, as well as politics and culture. Arianna became famous in 2003 as she stood in the California recall election to succeed Governor Davis. In addition to this, she led the Detroit Project to develop fuel efficient cars. Forbes placed her at 12 on their list of the Top Popular Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post on their top 100 list in the year 2010. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as the president of their media company, which also included additional AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is the daughter of Konstantinos the manager's advisor as well as journalist. Her life was shaped by the closeness she had to her mother as well as her relationship with her dad, even though she was very close to him. She was a leader throughout her childhood.
