Paula Patton, an American producer and actress, is known for her roles as the lead in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol (an action-spy thriller) as well as Precious (a drama). Born into a middle-class family in Los Angeles, she harboured many dreams in her early years. A passion for film within her daughter was a skill that was a gift from her mother, who also loved watching movies. Paula enjoyed participating in school co-curricular activities, and she was a huge fan of drama. She was a member of her class and took part in the school productions. She acted in many high school plays at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and decided to pursue acting as a profession. She was in The University of Southern Cal's Summer program and enjoyed tremendously. The program was an award for a PBS 3-month assignment to make documentary films. The first assignment was to be an assistant to production for TV documentaries following her successful completion of the assignment. She then moved to produce documentaries. While she enjoyed the work, she was aspired to become an actress. The romantic comedies Hitch she starred in a minor role alongside Will Smith. Since then, she has appeared in a number of well-known television and film shows.
