StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her first role was in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. She then appeared in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). On TV, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both shows. Sigman was born to an Mexican mom and an American father, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. She is a U.S. citizen through her father. [2][3][4] Her father, the former baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. Her career began on Mexican television before making her film debut in Rio de Oro. In 2011 she portrayed the lead character in the film Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. [6] The film was nominated for the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8The film, however, was not included in the final list. 9 Sigman was awarded a Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in recognition of her performance as film critic in 2011.
